We are three months into social distancing with strict measures to flatten the COVID-19 curve and many couples are faced with the harsh decision of either getting married on their planned wedding date (but having to forego their friends and families being present) OR to postpone until they can have the wedding they envisioned. It's such a difficult choice and we certainly feel for all of the couples in this situation. For some brides who chose to get married to their love on their original date, we were able to provide a bridal bouquet so that they still had beautiful florals.

Lavender and Yellow:

This first bouquet was for a client of ours who booked us to do florals for their (supposed-to-be) large wedding in May. The plan was originally to do a bridal bouquet, bridesmaid bouquets, floral crowns, two large staircase installations, greenery for church pews and centrepieces for the reception. They have decided to postpone until later this year, but chose to still have an intimate ceremony in their parent's backyard.

I filled this bouquet with all my bride's favourites, including butter yellow and soft lavender blooms. Because the intimate ceremony was in a wooded backyard, I used a touch of solidago and pink veronica to add a rustic/ wildflower feel.

Ingredients used: Soft yellow ranunculus, lavender lisianthus, Ocean Song roses, pink veronica, purple sweet peas, lavender freesia, solidago and Italian ruscus.

Sweet Pea Heaven:

This second bouquet was for a couple who also decided to elope. They got married in Waterloo and treated themselves to Indian food and cake from a local bake shop after their intimate ceremony with an officiant and two friends.

This bride wanted something light and airy and let me design away! I chose to use mostly white sweet peas, white double tulips, light pink double tulips and lavender stock. I just love all the ruffly goodness that this bouquet offers (Not to mention the heavenly smell!).
